Cynodon dactylon (L.) Pers Cultivar Tifton 85

The species was developed by the US Department of Agriculture, in cooperation with the University of Georgia. It is a cross made between Tifton-68 and a South African Cynodon dactylon called P1290884. Since 2016, Golden Tree has been establishing a clonal garden of this species, producing seedlings by multiplying stolons in 200-cell plug flats.
